1. How do I get inform about new acquisitions?
New titles are uploading to library website.
2. Does the library has audiovisual material?
Cyprus Library has CDs, DVDs, videotapes and microfilms.
3. Can I borrow audiovisual material?
Audiovisual material is not for loan.
4. What do I have to do when a book is lost/destroyed?
The user has to replace the lost/destroyed book.
5. What is the procedure for donating material to the library?
The Cyprus Library welcomes offers of publications but items are only accepted if they are in good physical condition and not already held in the Library's collection. The Library may offered to another library items that are double copies or against the Collection Development Policy.
6. What do I do when I am looking for a book or journal article that are not held in the library?
If you cannot find the material you want within our collections, we can try to locate it and borrow it for you from another library, via the interlibrary loan service (ILL) office. In order to satisfy those requests, the ILL Service applies to either a domestic library or to a foreign library.
7. How do I search the journals’ titles?
All the journals are searchable through the online access catalogue.
8. Can I borrow journals or newspapers?
Journals and newspapers are not for loan.
9. Which books are for loan?
The books which are not for loan have the notice “not for loan”. These books are held on the Reference Departement (Faneromenis Reading Room).
10. I am a teacher and interesting in visiting the library with my students. Do you offer educational programs?
Cyprus Library offers a variety of free programs for classes of all grade levels.
11. Do you have old issues of daily press?
Library has old issues of daily press bounded.
