Acquisitions and Collection Development Department
The purpose of the Acquisitions Department is to enrich the collections with material that caters to the educational, research and recreational needs of the users.
Materials acquired by the Library
The contents and not the format is the main selection criterion in the Library's acquisition policy. Apart from books, the material includes videos, CD-ROMs, maps, newspapers, periodicals, posters, etc.
Selection methods
The competent librarian selects material that meets the selection policy guidelines.
