Cataloguing Department

The cataloguing department is responsible for the preparation of the library's material, in order to make it accessible to users.

The process followed is:
  • Clasification of the material using DDC (Dewey Decimal Clasification)
  • Subject cataloguing using the National Library of Greece Subject Headings and Library of Congress Headings
  • Descriptive cataloguing according to Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules
  • Data entry into the automated library system (Koha)
